Salame Piccante, Broccolini Combo and Funfetti Gelato

Salumi, the Pioneer Square purveyor of artisanal cured meats, has earned the national reputation of making the best salami anywhere. Their Rosmarino Salami, made with rosemary and peppercorns, is so delicate and flavorful you’ll understand why people rave about Salumi. Our Salame Piccante features a generous portion of the salami, fresh mozzarella, an Italian tomato base, and Peppadew sweet peppers, which add a mild spiciness. We add a sprinkle of fresh rosemary to the pie after baking.
East meets West in this seasonal vegetarian pizza. It stars broccoli's tall, skinny cousin, broccolini. We love its tender stalks and mild, sweet taste. We roast the broccolini with a mix of sesame seeds, sesame oil, sea salt and a dash of chili flakes. Then we drape the roasted broccolini over a delicate blend of mozzarella and fontina over an olive oil and minced garlic base. Eating your vegetables is rarely this delicious.

Speaking of fun, Gelatiamo has a new flavor! Maria Coassin, Gelatiamo's owner and resident flavor magician, says, "We all thought that we could use some light and color in our days, with all the rain and darkness we have been experiencing lately, something to make people smile was what we all needed." Not only will this playful gelato bring some joy into your life, but it may soon become your favorite flavor. Gelatiamo starts by baking a moist and flavorful cake. They then blend morsels of the colorful cake bits with a mascarpone base, which gives it a decadent creaminess that plays off the sweet cake in just the right way. Enjoy a pint (or two) while supplies last.
