Seasonals: Michelle’s Pie, Cacio e Pepe, and Molly Moon’s

It’s been said that you could spend a lifetime perfecting Cacio e Pepe, the classic Roman pasta dish of cheese, black pepper, and spaghetti. The dish is shockingly simple and yet, when done right, tastes like the best thing you’ve ever had. Getting it right requires premium ingredients in the right proportions, and proper technique. Fans of Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy know what we’re talking about. 

Inspired by the pasta, our food team spent weeks trying to translate the flavors to pizza, and it came out surprisingly well. You’ll have to be the judge, but we can’t get enough of it. Our Cacio e Pepe rendition pairs creamy mozzarella and sharp Pecorino Romano with a dusting of black pepper, all atop a rich base of ricotta, cream, and Parmesan. 

Our other seasonal pizza is another ode to restrained elegance, and proof that simplicity is at the heart of many of the best pizzas. Michelle’s Pie features local favorite Cascioppo’s handmade sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms marinated in olive oil, garlic, and vinegar, creamy mozzarella, and our seasoned tomato sauce. 

And to top off your meal in decadent fashion, consider this: Molly Moon’s Chocolate Toffee Crunch Ice Cream, a craveable blend of buttery, chocolatey, creamy, and crunchy. Molly Moon’s makes their homemade toffee with plenty of butter, breaks it into small chunks, and stirs it into milk chocolate ice cream studded with flakes of Theo chocolate.
