Our Upcoming Giveaway: Cone & Steiner

To support friends and peers in the food service industry, we’ve been purchasing treats and giving them away to our customers. So far we’ve bought over $150,000 worth. The response from our customers, many of them surprised to get a tasty gift, has been overwhelming.
Next up is Cone & Steiner. Order a whole pie this Tuesday (May 12) and while supplies last we’ll include C&S Trail Mix.
Cone & Steiner is a throwback to the classic corner store updated to fit the contemporary urban lifestyle. Long before coffee shops and co-working spaces, the local general store was a neighborhood’s cornerstone—a gathering spot, a place to connect and catch up on local news with neighbors and get provisions.
A rich family legacy guides and informs owner Dani Cone. Her great-grandfather, Sam Cone, immigrated to Seattle with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering determination, and a desire for community. Along with his brother-in-law, Samuel Steiner, he opened the original Cone & Steiner on 1st Ave South in 1915.
Dani reestablished Cone & Steiner nearly 100 years later as a modern-day general store, a new yet familiar take on her great-grandfather’s store. All three locations (Capitol Hill, Downtown, Pioneer Square) feature specialty, local, and staple goods.
"Now more than ever, we are proud and grateful to be a welcoming, friendly, safe, and delicious place for our community,” says Dani. “And one thing that we love almost as much as community and good people is good pizza! We love our pals at Pagliacci, fellow Seattle Originals, who go above and beyond on all fronts. We are indeed all in this together, so let’s make sure we’ve got good food and good company around to ride this out.”
