Annual Fourth of July Picnic & Pizza Olympics

Last Thursday, we powered down our pizza ovens, put away the peels, and fired up the grill for our annual Fourth of July Picnic and Pizza Olympics. The whole Pagliacci family enjoyed a round of softball, a first-ever sanctioned soccer match, and then stuffed ourselves with anything but pizza.

Our Driver Manager Sasha Mitronovas showed off his culinary skills playing grill master. The feast included sausages from Bob's Quality Meats, which is owned and operated by a former Pagliacci general manager and his dad.

Wholly satisfied, we launched into our Olympic Games. While we didn't compete in long jumps, high dives, or even ping pong, our games were still impressive. Lake City Way Drivers Thomas Osborn and Jeffrey Thornton took the top spot in the Team Toss. These two were so in sync during the competition, they'd give any Olympic diving duo a run for their money.

And, we're willing to bet Shot Put Gold Medalist Tomasz Majewski has nothing on Main Street Associate Manager Hugo Uitzil-Tun, who earned the Biggest Toss prize for the second consecutive year.

All of that dough tossing is perfect training for the Tug of War challenge. The crew at our Edmonds location proved their strength earning top honors in this event.

We wrapped it all up with our rousing Relay Race, which included blindfolded box folding, one-handed partner dough tossing, then head-spinning before running the box to the finish line. The Queen Anne team demonstrated solid teamwork, taking first place.

Thanks for giving us the day off for some fun in the sun! As usual, it was a blast. We can't wait to do it all again next year. Follow the link to our Facebook page to check out more photos.
