Pagliacci Fans, Meet Hello Robin

Does anything sound more comforting right now than pizza followed by fresh homemade cookies? This Saturday, while supplies last, we’ll be giving away variety packs of Hello Robin’s cookies.

For those of you that don’t already know Hello Robin, the bright jewel-box of a cookie-centric café on 19th Avenue on Capitol Hill, here’s your introduction:

Robin Wehl Martin’s homemade cookies were legendary amongst her friends (OK, she won a few local cooking prizes, too, including one for “Overall Awesomeness”). Still, she’d never really considered turning her passion into a business. Then six years ago, her friends at Molly Moon’s called her and introduced the idea. On a lark, she took the leap. And what a blessing it has been.

Robin and her crew privilege high-quality local ingredients, such as Theo Chocolate and Shephard’s Grain flour. Customers at Molly Moon’s know the cookies from their beloved ice-cream sandwiches. And if you need more convincing, Hello Robin won Seattle Magazine's Readers' Choice award for "Best Cookies" in Seattle two years in a row.

Hello Robin plans to open soon for to-go orders. You’ll find about a dozen freshly-baked types of cookies each day. Be sure to try the signature “Mackles’more,” which combines a graham cracker, a s'more cookie and a chunk of Theo chocolate. In the meanwhile, you can buy frozen dough at Leschi Mart and Cone & Steiner and bake them off yourself!

And when stores and restaurants reopen, stay tuned for news of a rumored second shop in University Village.

Enjoy!
