Our Upcoming Giveaway: Coro by Salumi

Our giveaways to support our peers in the food industry continue with Coro by Salumi. This Saturday (May 2), we are giving away 5 oz. salami sticks from Seattle’s most famous salumeria, and one with bonafide national street cred. Anthony Bourdain called it “a holy place for me.”

It’s a holy place for us too! Our Salumi’s Spicy Pepperoni features their meat, as does our seasonal the Salami Piccante. Unfortunately, right now, due to Covid-19, their Pioneer Square retail store is closed (so worth a trip when it opens again; try their porchetta sandwich!). Fortunately, you can still buy Coro salami on their website and at premium Seattle-based stores, including PCC, Metropolitan Market, Town & Country, New Seasons, Delaurenti and more.

Salumi’s label, Coro, is the new name for their grocery line of cured meats. Salumi’s same beloved flavors like Agrumi, Classic Salami, Finocchiona, Hot Sopressata, and Molé are all dressed up in updated packaging. Coro is the Italian word for chorus, which is an apt name for the way Salumi blends traditional artisan methods with new-world flavors.

Salumi is one of the only female-owned cured meat producers in America. They make their meats in small batches in their local state-of-the-art production facility. They buy humanely-treated antibiotic-free pork from family farms in the United States and use only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients, including carefully-sourced spices.

“Pagliacci’s ongoing support for small restaurant and food producers like ours has inspired us,” says Clara Veniard, co-owner of Salumi. “We’ve valued their partnership, friendship, and mentorship for many years and are so happy to have them on our team at a time like this.”
