"15 Wonderful Years": Happy Anniversary, Ruth Cohen!

After all these years, Phone Center Assistant Manager, Ruth Cohen still likes coming to work. And today, she celebrates her 15th Anniversary with the Pagliacci family. "I just answered an ad," she says modestly when asked how she first came to our Phone Center.

It all began when she started moonlighting for extra money. An investment industry professional, she started out as a customer service representative taking orders from hungry pizza lovers, and in six months, was promoted to Shift Leader. Then a little over a year later, she was offered the Assistant Manager position. She quit her day job, relishing the "love" she felt from the customers and crew.

"There's a real positive tone in the Phone Center," comments Ruth. Unlike the impersonal world of investments and cold-calling, Ruth appreciates how everyone works together to create "a family…a team." She enjoys the diverse group of people she works with and how everyone pitches in: "I like that Matt (co-owner) can come in and answer the phone and deliver pizzas."

It’s not just the people she works with, but the customers who make the job satisfying too. Each day she talks to "people who want to talk to you." One of the things she cherishes is when a customer calls to say thanks for the free pizza. As Assistant Manager, she helps manage employees, resolves customer issues, and "takes calls just like everybody else in the Phone Center."

When she's not with her Pagliacci family, she can't seem to stop moonlighting, or "daylighting" now that she works evenings. She manages her own small craft business, selling her steampunk-inspired brooches along with hand-crocheted chokers and wrist cuffs (check out her shop on Etsy).

For Ruth, it's been a heartfelt "15 wonderful years…good years." Congratulations!
